Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for POISE General Scholarships, the recipient must reside in Allegheny County and be accepted or currently attend a two year or four year university, post secondary technical or trade school. Limited funding is available for graduate studies. Preference is given to African American students. Applicants may attend schools throughout the United States.
Scholarship Amounts
Scholarship amounts vary, typically between $500 - $1,500 per scholarship. POISE provides approximately 6 general scholarships per cycle.

POISE accepts applications during two cycles per year. Applications must be received by the following dates:
