POISE Foundation K-12 Scholarship Application
Due to the Pennsylvania State budget impasse, the funding to support our K-12 Scholarships has been significantly delayed. As a result, we are NOT opening up the application process at this time. We are not sure when and/or if we will be accepting applications this year so please check our website periodically for updates. We truly apologize for the inconvenience.
Our K-12 Scholarship program is funded through the POISE Primary and Secondary Education Fund. This fund is supported through donations from corporations that are approved through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
To be eligible for a K-12 scholarship you have to meet the following criteria:
Student must attend a private school located in Allegheny County.
Effective July 1, 2013, the base family income for eligibility is $75,000 and $15,000 for each dependent as defined by the IRS living within the same household.
Must have unpaid expenses at time of application. POISE will not reimburse a family who has already paid tuition for the school year.
Additional Information for Parents
Please note that the average scholarship amount is $750. POISE Foundation is not able to provide a scholarship for every family that applies. As a result, the Foundation is utilizing a rubric to determine which students will receive a scholarship. The priorities of the Foundation are Financial Need and Student Academic Performance. We ask families to consider all the above mentioned information when deciding to apply for a scholarship.
