EITC - Pre-Kindergarten Scholarships

POISE Foundation is dedicated to helping the African-American youth in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County with their educational endeavors. The POISE Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Fund was set up to do just that.  It has been proven that the earlier our children learn to read, the more successful their academic career will be.

To be eligible for a grant, a student must be enrolled in an eligible Pre-Kindergarten program. The scholarships are available for tuition and fees only. The family must have total household income of $50,000 or less. However, there is a $10,000 additional allowance for each eligible student in the household.

Income verification is required and includes providing copies of prior years’ federal tax returns, copies of W-2’s, and recent pay stubs. (Click here to see the full list of Pre-K guidelines)

To apply:

2. Send:

• a completed application form
• parents' prior year federal tax return, or proof of income if no return filed
